Married men seeking affairs is a category that has existed almost as long as marriage itself.

Why are so many married men seeking affairs?

It didn’t take long for married men and married to women to figure out what happens to passion when you are with the same person night after night, doing the same thing night after night.

I am guessing it was soon after the first batch of marriages that married people started looking for an extramarital affair with someone else that loved the marriage, just missed the passion.

Passion in a marriage represents so much more than the sex act itself.

An intimate encounter goes deeper with the one you love.

It creates a psychological sense of security and connection.

A physical and psychological high because you are in a safe place where you are the most important thing there.

It makes a man feel like THE MAN, and in turn gives him a sense of propriety.

He is responsible for the safety and general well being of his woman.

She is the provider of this feeling and he will protect that.

This is evident to all and his wife feels this and then feels safe and content.

That feeling that a man gets from his wife’s physical attention is by no means permanent though.

It requires daily attention.

We may understand that running a household and kids and PTA and blah blah blah require a lot of time and attention as well.

We understand this on the outside, but on the inside we are now last on the list yet are still expected to feel the same way.

WE DON’T!
