That is why I keep note's, most of the time we can't recall many details about the conversation.
I make notes regarding the answer to my question, his reaction and the behavior displayed.
People inadvertently give information without realizing it, they may stick to their story, but 9 out of 10 times if you go back to your notes, you will inconsistancies.

When your spouse is lying, he will most likely feel some anxiety.
So look out for any out-of-the-ordinary behavior like excessive sweating or nervous tics when you are talking to him.
But first, make small talk to get the him comfortable.
besides, if you have been with him for a long time you shoule notice a change in behavior.
